Punitives

Role-based punishments like mutes, quarantines, and the underworld.

Punitives power Vaneta’s role-based punishments — the middle ground between “do nothing” and “ban them”. Each punishment applies a role you configure, so you stay in full control of exactly what each punishment restricts via Discord’s own permission system.

Configuration

Pick a role for each punishment you want to use (leave the rest empty):

  • Underworld Role — applied by /underworld. The member keeps server access but loses all their other roles until released.
  • Chat Mute Role — applied by /mute.
  • Quarantine Role — applied by /quarantine.
  • Activity Ban Role — applied by /restrict with the Activity type.
  • Stream Ban Role — applied by /restrict with the Stream type.
  • Ads Ban Role — applied by /restrict with the Ads type.

Set each role’s channel permissions to match the punishment — for example, deny the chat mute role from sending messages everywhere.

Commands

Each punishment has an add and remove subcommand — for example /mute add and /mute remove — and takes a member and an optional reason. Punishments are logged, and role snapshots mean a released member gets all their old roles back exactly as they were.
